Who took the photographs on this site

36 of the 245 buildings on this site carry a photograph. Every one of them was taken by somebody else and is used under the license they chose.

How a photograph gets on to a page here

Only if the license on it allows it, and only after the license has been read on the file itself rather than assumed from where the file was found. A file on Wikimedia Commons is not automatically free to reuse: each one carries its own license, most ask for the photographer's name, and some ask that anything built on the photo carries the same license onward. Both of those conditions are met here, on the building page and again on this one.

What is not here is worth saying too. There are no Google Street View pictures, because copying them is against Google's terms. The building pages link out to Street View instead, which needs no permission and always shows Google's newest picture rather than a stale copy. There are no photographs from listing or brokerage sites. And there are no generated or illustrated images of any building. A picture that looks like a real building with the wrong number of floors is a false claim about that building, and no label underneath it would undo the impression.

The owner of this site is photographing these buildings. As those pictures arrive they will replace the borrowed ones, and this page will shrink.

If one of these is yours

If you took one of these photographs and the credit is wrong, or you would rather it were not used here at all, tell us and it comes down the same day. Thecorrections page says how to reach us. The same goes for a building that would like its own photograph used: we will use it, labeled as the building's own picture.
