What we collect

Very little, and we would rather keep it that way.

No tracking, no advertising, no third-party scripts

There are no advertising trackers on this site, no Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics. We do not sell anything about you, because we do not have anything about you to sell.

The site does not load web fonts, scripts or stylesheets from anyone else's server, it uses the fonts already on your device and serves everything else itself. The one thing that does come from elsewhere is the map imagery, which comes from OpenStreetMap, and only on the two pages that show a map. Every building page loads nothing from anywhere but this site.

Visitor numbers

We count visits using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you. We can see that a page was read. We cannot see who read it.

If you give us your email

We use it to send you the weekly email, and nothing else. We do not pass it to anyone. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you, it does not just stop the sending.

If you answer the questions about a building

Most of the form is closed questions with a list of answers. What reaches a page is a count and nothing else: "3 residents". Your answers are never tied to you, never quoted, and never shown one at a time.

Four things you may have typed never reach the site at all: the open box at the end of the form, your email address, how long you lived there, and the date you answered. They sit with the form host and with us, we read them, and they are in none of the files the website is built from. Nothing we publish could be narrowed back to you through them.

We keep the original of what you sent so we can check it and come back to you with a question. Your email does not go on the newsletter list unless you separately ask for that.

If you want your answers out, write to us. We take the row out and the counts drop by one. You do not have to give a reason.

Getting your information back, or deleted

Write to us and ask. We will tell you what we hold and delete it if you want it deleted. You do not have to give a reason.
